Tools to design your island

Hi everyone! Designing your island is something very important, and sometimes it's difficult to imagine the result of our design project in game. But they are some good web apps and apps to help you on this difficult step. So, on this post, we will see which tools using to design your island!

1. Happy Island Designer

First, let's take a look at Happy Island Designer, a web app that able players to design maps. With this acnh 2D map editor, you can place water, cliffs, paths, houses, shops, trees and more! You can also choose an island pattern near to your own island to begin designing, and import an animal crossing island screenshot to trace it easily.

2. 3D Island Planner

An other tool which is very interesting is the 3D Island Planner, an app made by Bubble Wand Games on itch.io. This 3D app able players to terraform easily, with cliffs, water, buildings, ramps, paths and even fences. Some terraforming rules are implemented, like the rule of 1x1 block of space between two cliff levels. Moreover, the map has the same proportions as the in game map, so the island will be near to the result in acnh.

3. AC Patterns

To finish, I will present you AC Patterns, a web app that able players to draw patterns for acnh or acnl, and to transform random image into an ac pattern. You can download patterns you made on the app into the game by scanning the generated QR code in NookLink, the official acnh app integrated in the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app (Nintendo Switch Online required). Just perfect for making your own paths or other patterns to decorate your island! AC Patterns also offers a page where you can see all shared patterns made on the website. Moreover, AC Patterns dev keep updating their app!

And that's all! I hope this post was useful for you! (o^^)b
